The draw ceremony of St. Petersburg Open 2020 was held on Saturday, October 10. As a result the Russian duo Karen Khachanov-Andrei Rublev will play in R1against the tops seeds from Great Britain, #7 in the ATP doubles rankings – Jamie Murray and Neal Skupski. A native of Gatchina, Alexander Bublik, who is representing Kazakhstan now, together with American Reilly Opelka, will meet with Serbs Nikola Cacic and Miomir Kecmanovic.
The favorite of the St. Petersburg public, the Dutchman with Russian roots Matve Middelkop returned to the tournament in the Northern capital. In R1 the Middelkoop-Demoliner pair will face the third seeds from Belgium Sander Gille and Joran Vliegen. The second seeds Jurgen Melzer (Austria) – Edouard Roger-Vasselin (France) will meet in R1 with the winners of the qualification.
Another Russian duo Daniil Golubev-Evgenii Tiurnev was handed a wild card from the organizers. This duo will take on Sam Querry and Tennys Sandgren from USA.
