RUBLEV SURVIVES IN BATTLE FOR QUARTERFINALS

The third seed of the tournament St. Petersburg Open 2020 Andrey Rublev survived in the three-setter against the French Ugo Humbert  4/6, 6/4, 7/5 in. 2 hrs 13 mins. Rublev made fewer unforced errors (32-38) and earned more points on his return (39-21). His opponent in the quarterfinals will be the winner of the match Cameron Norrie (Great Britain) vs Miomir Kecmanovic (Serbia).

“He is playing really well. He is a young and promising player. I am pretty sure he will have a great career. I knew he liked to play indoors on hard courts. So, I knew the match would be tough. That is why I am happy I rallied to get through it”, – said Rublev about his victory.
