NORRIE BECOMES THE FIRST QUARTERFINALIST AT ST. PETERSBURG OPEN 2020
The Briton Cameron Norrie rallied to beat the Serb Miomir Kecmanovic in 2 hrs 45 mins in the longest match of the tournament so far. Cameron earned more points forcing (41-32) and had fewer unforced errors.
“I am really happy to get through that one. I was playing well. I managed my backhand very well. It was pretty tentative at the end. He was playing well on matchpoints and was aggressive. First of all, St. Petersburg is a beautiful city from what I have seen. I was expecting it to be a little bit colder than it was. So that is a bonus. I like the surface here and the organization is being great and the hotel is great. And I am playing great, so everything is going my way this week”, – Norrie shared Norrie his impressions after the match.
