Gabashvili, Kudryavtsev and Medvedev to play in the qualification final

The qualification R1 matches of the tournament «St. Petersburg Open­2016» completed on Saturday, September 18. Three Russians will try to reach the main draw.

Teymuraz Gabashvili defeated Mikhail Elgin in 3 sets – 6:2, 4:6, 6:3. Alexander Kudryavtsev beat the Pole Michal Przysiezny – 6:3, 6:3.

The most interesting match on Saturday was between two Russians – Daniil Medvedev and Alexei Vatutuin. It lasted 2 hours 25 minutes. Medvedev could save the match from the score 3­5 in the 3rd set.

On Monday, for a spot in the main draw will face Radu Albot (Moldova) vs. Jan Mertl (Czech Republic), Teimuraz Gabashvili (Russia) vs. Alexander Sidorenko (France), Mischa Zverev (Germany) vs. Alexander Kudryavtsev (Russia), Daniil Medvedev (Russia) vs. Ante Pavic (Croatia).
