The main draw of the doubles tournament St. Petersburg Open 2019 was unveiled on September 14. Last year’s doubles champion Matteo Berrettini (Italy) will team up with his compatriot Simone Bolleli, who previously successfully performed with last year Berrettini’s partner – Fabio Fognini. In the opening match Berrettini-Bolleli will take on the Czech-Austrian duo, 3rd seeds Roman Jebavy (last year’s finalist) and Philipp Oswald.

This year two Russian pairs, both WC holders, will also compete for the St. Petersburg Open 2019 trophy. Evgeny Donskoy joined forces with Konstantin Kravchuk – in R1 they will square off with Andrei Vasilevski (Belarus) and Nicholas Monroe (USA), while Andrey Rublev will step on the court together with Evgeny Karlovskiy to take on the Spaniard Roberto Carballes-Baena and the Argentine Andres Molteni.

Top seeds Nicola Mektic / Franco Skugor from Croatia will play against the pair Ricardas Berankis (Lithuania) / Janko Tipsarevic (Serbia). Representatives of Kazakhstan Alexander Bublik and Mikhail Kukushkin will vie for a spot in R2 with Frenchman Adrian Mannarino and his partner from Monaco, Hugo Nys.
