The Russian Russian Andrey Rublev outplayed his opponent from Croatia Borna Coric 7/6(5), 6/4 in 1 h 39 mins in the finals of St. Petersburg Open 2020. Rublev earned more points on his return (25-12). It is his fourth title this year. For the second year in a row the main trophy of St. Petersburg Open will stay in Russia. Daniil Medvedev had won St. Petersburg Open last year.
“Borna was playing really well, in the tie-break when I was down 2-5 I was a bit lucky. Today is my day. Borna is one of the players who are famous for their fighting spirit. He beat lots of top players before. But it is also important he is a good person”, – Rublev said after his win.
